James Webb Space Telescope - The Images
NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope images, available through the Space Science Telescope Institute (STScI), are awe-inspiring glimpses into our observable universe. Scriptural references in the exhibit room also highlight the hand of a loving God in the creation of the cosmos, inviting spiritual contemplation and understanding that gives our secular learning purpose. The reverent environment is designed to be welcoming and uplifting for people of all faiths, beliefs and backgrounds.
Prepare for this experience by listening to or reading the introductory presentations by Dr. Denise Stephens of Brigham Young University and Dr. Jason Steffen of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. They speak on the exhibit themes of Filters and Perspective.
Pillars of Creation
“When we understand the character of God, and know how to come to Him, he begins to unfold the heavens to us, and to tell us all about it. When we are ready to come to him, he is ready to come to us.”
Face-On Spiral Galaxy

Cassiopeia A
“He comprehendeth all things, and all things are before him, and all things are round about him; and he is above all things, and in all things, and is through all things, and is round about all things; and all things are by him, and of him, even God, forever and ever.”
Crab Nebula
“The light which shineth, which giveth you light, is through him who enlighteneth your eyes, which is the same light that quickeneth your understandings; Which light proceedeth forth from the presence of God to fill the immensity of space —”

Webb Deep Field
“And worlds without number have I created; and I also created them for mine own purpose; and by the Son I created them, which is mine Only Begotten… but all things are numbered unto me, for they are mine and I know them.”
Ring Nebula
“The light which is in all things, which giveth life to all things, which is the law by which all things are governed, even the power of God who sitteth upon his throne, who is in the bosom of eternity, who is in the midst of all things.”
Tarantula Nebula
“And also that ye might know of the coming of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Father of heaven and of earth, the Creator of all things from the beginning.”

“The scriptures are laid before thee, yea, and all things denote there is a God; yea, even the earth, and all things that are upon the face of it, yea, and its motion, yea, and also all the planets which move in their regular form do witness that there is a Supreme Creator.”
Horsehead Nebula (Euclid, Hubble and Webb images)
“And, behold, thou art my son; wherefore look, and I will show thee the workmanship of mine hands; but not all, for my works are without end, and also my words, for they never cease.”
Horsehead Nebula (NIRCam Image)
“And were it possible that man could number the particles of the earth, yea, millions of earths like this, it would not be a beginning to the number of thy creations….”
Sagittarius C
“And now, after the many testimonies which have been given of him, this is the testimony, last of all, which we give of him: That he lives! For we saw him, even on the right hand of God; and we heard the voice bearing record that he is the Only Begotten of the Father—That by him, and through him, and of him, the worlds are and were created, and the inhabitants thereof are begotten sons and daughters unto God.”
