From June 1 to October 31, 2024, The Washington D.C. Temple Visitors’ Center in Kensington Maryland is hosting a free, public astronomy exhibit featuring large (up to 4 by 7 foot) high-resolution prints of James Webb Space Telescope images in the public domain. The name of the exhibit is Worlds Without Number: God’s Infinite Creation.
We also wish to offer astrophotographers the opportunity to submit astronomy images for display. Appropriate, selected images will be projected on a large screen as part of a slideshow and credits will include the scientific name of the image, astrophotographer’s name, where the photographic image was taken and equipment/settings used.
By submitting these images you are consenting to the use and retention of the images for presentations, advertising, social media, and other non-commercial use associated with the Exhibit. You consent to and acknowledge that your images could be used at other locations and media associated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for this or similar Exhibits at other locations. You represent that these images are your original work product and are not developed or owned by any third party.
You may submit up to three images (and a fourth image specific to the April 2024 solar eclipse) for consideration in the astrophotography portion of the exhibit. Please complete the form below granting image use and submit a display file in .png, .jpg, or .jpeg format. For questions regarding the astronomy exhibit or submission process please email the Washington D.C. Temple Visitors’ Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at [email protected].
Thank you for considering participation in this public exhibit of astronomy images inviting scientific and religious discovery, as well as reflection, introspection and inspiration on the majesty of God’s creations, the beauty of the heavens and the purpose of our creation.
PLEASE NOTE: If submitting more than one image, please fill out each field for the corresponding photo to give proper credit. Thank you!
